After six days of top-level international competition, the 2006 IPC Cycling World Championships have come to an end.

On September 14, at the Sport Forum of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Cycling in Aigle, 25 of the 28 members voted for a motion regarding the approval of the transfer of governance of IPC Cycling from IPC to the UCI.

The track events at the 2006 IPC Cycling World Championships took the track at the World Cycling Centre by storm since 12 world records were broken in the first two days of track competitions.

The technical programme and the competition programme of the 2006 IPC Cycling World Championships have been updated.
